September 11 Remembrance Project

  September 11, 2011 2019 Survey.

The goal of this survey is to have the PSLA Fowler staff reflect on the events of September 11, 2001.  I would like to share your experiences and thoughts with my students. Oral histories are an important source of information for historians. Each year I learn from staff members how they were impacted when they shared their experiences. We did not have to be in NYC or Washington. DC to have been impacted.

Also many of students have preconceived notions about 9/11. Some of their information is inaccurate as the result of watching Youtube and other information sources that may not be accurate. I would be interested in hearing about how your students think about 9/11? What happened, Who caused it, what are the lessons learned, and  unfortunate results such as fear of people from the Middle East.

The students who review your answers will gain experience in working with primary sources. I hope it will inspire them. I also hope They will  learn how they too can be historians by asking their friends, family members about historical events and how they are impacted by them.

This survey will be anonymous. You will be given the opportunity to share you name if you desire. You will also be able see other responses at the conclusion of the survey.
